Why Singapore?

Singapore is Asia's global financial, technology, and innovation hub — home to regional HQs of Google, Meta, Grab, Sea Group, DBS, and hundreds of MNCs. Its universities rank among the world's best: NUS (#8 QS 2024), NTU (#15), SMU (top globally in accounting/business). Singapore uses English as the primary medium of instruction, has no language barrier for Indian students, and is geographically close (4–5 hour flight from most Indian cities). The city-state also has a large and established Indian community (Tamil and North Indian).

Your university applies on your behalf through SOLAR+ (Student's Pass Online Application & Registration). Processing: 4–8 weeks. Documents: acceptance letter, passport, NRIC (if Singapore PR), financial capacity proof (SGD 10,000+/year living + tuition). Student Pass holders can work part-time (up to 16 hrs/week with university approval and valid Supplementary Student's Pass endorsement).

For master's students: NUS Graduate Scholarships, NTU Research Scholarships, A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (for research-linked programs), and ASEAN scholarships. Singapore government also offers the Singapore Scholarship for ASEAN countries — India qualifies for some tracks.

Singapore's Employment Pass (EP) is for professionals earning SGD 5,000+/month. Tech roles (software engineers, data scientists, AI researchers) routinely qualify. NUS/NTU graduates from CS and engineering have 85–90% employment rates within 6 months. Key employers: Google, Meta, Shopee, Grab, DBS, OCBC, Temasek Holdings, ST Engineering, A*STAR research institutes. Singapore permanent residency (PR) applications are possible after 2–6 years of EP employment.
